CertificationSAIG Awareness Badge
Awareness — not a personal certificate

SAIG Awareness Badge.

The SAIG Awareness Badge confirms that someone has completed an accredited AI literacy training. It is a certificate of participation that supports awareness and helps organisations build their initial Article 4 documentation — but it is not a personal certificate.

§ 01 · What the badge shows

What the Awareness Badge shows.

The holder has been acquainted with the basic principles of responsible AI use. Specifically:

  • Has completed an accredited awareness training on AI literacy
  • Knows the main risks of generative AI in broad terms
  • Understands why verification, privacy and human oversight matter
  • Knows when and to whom to escalate within the organisation
§ 02 · What the badge does not show

What the badge does not show.

This distinction must always be maintained. No employer may treat an Awareness Badge as certification.

  • No formal assessment of individual competences
  • No proof of proficiency in applying AI
  • Not a personal certificate in line with international certification practices
  • Not a replacement for SAIG-Basis, -Practitioner or -Advanced where those are appropriate

Important. The Awareness Badge is a certificate of participation, not a personal certificate. Demonstrable proficiency requires at least SAIG-Basis.

§ 03 · Who it is for

Who is the Awareness Badge for?

  • Broad groups of employees who occasionally come into contact with AI
  • Organisations that want to establish a first, broad layer of awareness
  • Employees who can later progress to SAIG-Basis
§ 04 · How to obtain it

How to obtain it.
